About Jacob

Jacob Waite

Jacob and his late grandmother, Carol

Intro

  • Real estate isn’t just a job for Jacob, it’s his passion. From as young as he can remember, he would spend hours looking through property listings online and be fascinated by the architecture, interior design, and landscaping of homes. “Mom, check out the backyard of this place!” was not an uncommon phrase to hear in the Waite household. Now that he is the one listing those homes he once admired and is able to work with such a variety of interesting people, he could not imagine doing anything else.

Real Estate runs in his blood as his mother and grandmother were successful realtors. Jacob spent the first 2 years in the industry working alongside Carol, his grandmother. She taught him everything she had learned from 33 years in the business and eventually handed over the reins to him before she passed away in December of 2021.

Jacob grew up working on the family farm and owes his tenacious work ethic to long hot summers in the fields picking stones and stacking hay bales.

He takes full advantage of living in beautiful Kawartha Lakes by enjoying the golf courses, lakes, and snowmobile trails!

Volunteering

  • While in Kingston, Jacob founded a chapter of Pennydrops, Canada’s largest student-run non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of financial literacy. Working with local high schools and after-school programs like the Boys and Girls Club, Jacob organized and facilitated sessions that taught youth about budgeting, the benefits and risks of loans, investing, and other important financial topics.

Also in Kingston, Jacob managed the business development team at Oil Thigh Designs, Queen’s University’s leading student-run retailer and social enterprise where 100% of proceeds are donated to various local and global charities. Total donations to date are almost $100,000!!

Locally, Jacob enjoyed earning his high school volunteer hours helping Ralph at the Cameron Community Church.
